We are dedicated to building a positive learning environment that focuses on educating the whole child, academic excellence for all, and supporting the diverse needs of students at Colonel Johnston Elementary School

At Colonel Johnston Elementary School, we are a community of learners that believe in educating the whole child. Staff, students, and parents are very proud of the excellent educational opportunities that are provided here at Colonel Johnston Elementary School. Our outstanding staff is committed and dedicated to providing an academic program that challenges each student as well as meets the social and emotional needs of each individual child. To this end, we provide opportunities for students to participate in curriculum beyond just Reading, Writing and Math. Students can have talents in a variety of areas and we want to develop said talents. In addition to their Reading, Writing and Math classes, students have classes covering; Science, Social Studies, Art, Music, Physical Education, Library and Computer.

In addition, we believe that the support of parents and the community is an important part of the success of our school. Teaming together to help our students succeed is what makes CJES a great place to learn. Parents are involved in many areas of our school, from volunteering in the classroom, library or at school events to being active members of our PTO.
