Child Find

Child Find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA ’04) that requires Public Education Agencies (PEA) to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities, aged birth through 21, located within their boundaries of responsibility who are in need of early intervention or special education services.

Are you a homeschool parent concerned that your child has an educational disability that could be supported by special needs services? Come visit the FHASD child find team!

 

FHASD will be holding a community child find outreach event for homeschooled families on November 2nd from 3:00 until 4:00 at Colonel Johnston Elementary. This event is open to all homeschool families that live on Fort Huachuca. Please come visit us so we can answer any questions you may have about how to support your student.
