 The title of our story this week is "The Bad Seed". Each day students will listen to the story and complete different activities.  Here are the activities your child should complete by the end of the week-

 

  • Monday: Text to Self
    •  Day 1 in the packet.  Students will listen to the story and write about a time they felt the same way as the character.  Complete sentences with capital at the beginning and period at the end.
  • Tuesday: Retell 
    • Day 2- Your child will listen to the story again, then retell the story by putting the events in order. 
  •  
  • Wednesday: Text to self connection 
    • Day 3 discuss times when your child did good things and how they felt about it.  Please remember complete sentences with capital at the beginning and period at the end.
  • Thursday: Favorite Part
    • Day 4 - Listen to the story again, then write and draw about their favorite.
  • Friday: Writing
    • Page 7-Your child will read and correct the sentence o  of the uploaded packet. Review nouns and verbs by picking out the nouns and verb in the sentence. 

 

There are three activities additional activities for your child to complete throughout the week: 

- Digraphs (sh, wh, th)

- CVC word practice ( listening for the vowel and sorting them into groups)

- Rhyming

Math:

There are three math pages for this week.

- Number Sense- What number comes next?

- Subtraction- Match the equation to the picture

- Number Sense- Which number is more and which is least?

 

In addition to the listed activities above, please work on the following:
  • 15-20 minutes Head Sprout
  • 15-20 minutes Epic Reading
  • 15-20 minutes Khan Academy
  • 15-20 minutes Sight word practice
 
* I would suggest to visit these websites at different times through out the day.  It's a good idea to develop a schedule and be consistent with it.
